Terms of Service

Domsect provides the Extract API (POST https://api.domsect.io/v1/extract), which fetches publicly accessible webpages and returns structured data shaped by a caller-supplied schema. Model selection, denoising and routing happen server-side and are not caller-configurable.

Standard extraction tasks run on compute in the Asia-Pacific region; the API dispatch layer serves requests from North America. Tasks submitted with us_soil: true are instead processed exclusively on US-based compute clusters under the Zero-Cross-Border Guarantee (see section 13).

Access requires an API key issued by Domsect. You are responsible for keeping your keys confidential and for all usage billed to them. If a key is compromised, notify [email protected] immediately so it can be revoked and reissued.

Keys may not be resold, shared publicly, or embedded in client-side code where they can be harvested.

Usage is metered in credits. Tier 1 extraction costs 1 credit per successfully extracted page. Failed fetches, 404s, blocks and timeouts deduct 0 credits.

Eligible new accounts may receive a one-time grant of 10 free credits at sign-in. Separately, approved applicants to our Sandbox Program receive 500 evaluation credits; applications are reviewed manually and we may decline any request. Paid plans are billed per the pricing in effect at purchase; credits do not carry cash value and are non-refundable except where required by law.

We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice; changes do not apply retroactively to credits already granted.

The service processes publicly accessible information (PAI) only: webpages reachable without credentials, paywalls, or other access controls.

You must not submit URLs that require login, session cookies, or circumvention of access controls, and you must not submit private documents or non-public content.

You must not use the service to process, and you warrant that your inputs do not contain:

• Technical data or software subject to U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR) controls or other export-control regimes;

• Financial, medical, biometric, or other sensitive personal data (including government identifiers, health records, payment credentials, biometric identifiers, or precise location tied to an individual);

• Content that is unlawful in the jurisdiction where you operate.

Inputs detected as sensitive are blocked at the gateway at zero charge; repeated violations lead to suspension under section 7.

You warrant that (a) your data sources are lawful, (b) your inputs contain no sensitive or export-controlled content, and (c) your use complies with the target sites' terms and all applicable laws, including data-protection and export-control laws.

Compliance responsibility rests with you as the caller. Domsect provides a technical extraction service and does not review the legal status of your inputs; blocking heuristics are a safety net, not legal advice and not a guarantee.

We may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate access — with or without notice — for violations of these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, for abuse of shared resources (including the demo playground), for non-payment, or to comply with law.

You may terminate at any time by ceasing use and requesting key revocation. Unused credits expire per plan terms and are not refunded on termination.

The service is provided on a commercially reasonable-effort basis. We do not warrant uninterrupted availability, specific latency, or extraction accuracy; benchmark figures published on our site are measurements from reference runs, not guarantees.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Domsect's aggregate liability arising from the service is capped at the fees you paid in the three months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including data loss or business interruption.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Domsect and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your submission of target URLs that are not lawfully publicly available information (PAI), including authenticated intranets, bulk sensitive personal data (financial, medical, biometric), or export-controlled defense data; (b) your breach of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy; or (c) your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights in connection with your use of the service.

We will notify you of any claim subject to indemnification and you will cooperate in its defense. We may assume exclusive control of the defense at our own expense.

We may update these terms; material changes take effect 30 days after posting, and continued use constitutes acceptance. The current version is always published at this URL.

For requests submitted with "us_soil": true, DomSect guarantees that all data processing, DOM stripping, machine learning inference, and ledger logging are performed entirely within servers physically located in the United States. Under no circumstances will payload data be failed over or transmitted to compute clusters outside the U.S.

Offshore failover is strictly disabled for such requests: if US domestic capacity is temporarily unavailable, the request fails fast with HTTP 5xx at 0 credits rather than rerouting overseas. This guarantee covers DomSect's internal compute and processing infrastructure; the retrieval of the publicly accessible target URL you submit remains subject to the public internet routing and physical hosting location of that target third-party domain.
